Cel putin asa arata un clasament intocmit de o asociatie ecologista britanica, in care Romania ocupa pozitia 70 din 143, inaintea americanilor (locul 114) si a bulgarilor (82), dar in urma moldovenilor (32).Criteriile luate in calcul sunt gradul de satisfactie al locuitorilor, dar si speranta de viata (71,9 ani in Romania) si politicile implementate in favoarea mediului in fiecare tara.” conform site-ului 9am.
